“She’s the real deal.”

This is a repeated phrase used to describe Tiffany Monroe, our Chief People & Culture Officer, by those who know her. Current and former colleagues alike, who not only consider her a mentor but also a friend, rave about the characteristics that make her stand out.

Authenticity. Passion. Care. Empowerment. Humility. That’s just to name a few.

As such, it’s no surprise that Tiffany is one of this year’s Kansas City Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” honorees. Nothing says Tiffany more than an award that recognizes outstanding professional women who drive successful businesses.

At Block, Tiffany has been instrumental in our ongoing work to create a more connected culture that encourages bold thinking, problem solving, and continuous learning. The passion, energy, and expertise she brings to the table enables our teams to have the skills, capabilities, and developmental opportunities to do their best work and drive the business forward. Her leadership brings to life a sense of belonging for all associates, where everyone can bring their authentic self to work and reflect our Purpose—providing help and inspiring confidence in our clients and communities everywhere.

Equally important is her dedication to giving back to others. From volunteering with the Crisis Text Line, to advancing our new Associate Relief Fund and upcoming expanded benefits, to mentoring other women in business—both inside and outside of H&R Block—Tiffany’s impact reaches far and wide.

“Tiffany is an amazing business partner and a true friend,” said Karen Orosco, President, Global Consumer Tax and Service Delivery at H&R Block. “She’s by my side, but she’s also got my back.”

Stacey Garry, a former colleague and mentee of Tiffany’s, shared a similar sentiment.

“Tiffany is fiercely loyal and empowering. She’s the type of leader that makes you feel like you can do anything.”

Congratulations, Tiffany! We are so lucky to have you.
