Where’s the Location of My H&R Block Data File?

Where Do I Find H&R Block Data Files on My Computer?

Normally, H&R Block data files are located in the Documents folder, in a subfolder called HR Block. 

If you can’t find your file there, you can find the location of any H&R Block data file on your computer by following these steps:

On Windows:

1. Press Windows + E on the keyboard to open an Explorer window.
2. In the search box, type: *.tXX

The “XX” is the year of the tax data you’re looking for. Ex: type .t17 to find your 2017 tax file.

On macOS:

1. From your desktop, type Command + N to open a Finder window.
2. In the search box, type: *.tXX
