  2. The IRS sent you notification of the audit decision with 30 days to appeal.<\/li>\n
  3. You either did not appeal or the Appeals Office denied the request.<\/li>\n
  4. The IRS\u00a0sent a 90-day Statutory Notice of Deficiency.<\/li>\n
  5. You contacted the IRS after you received the Notice of Deficiency.<\/li>\n
  6. The IRS sent Letter 555 to either request additional information, or to notify you that no changes were made based on the information provided. The notice also tells you that the deadline to file a court appeal has not changed from the date shown on the Notice of Deficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
